I have to wear clothes with arrows on them to show that I am a convict. They are very itchy and they stink, but we change clothes to wear clean clothes to church on Sundays.
We have shoes but no socks so we have to use material as socks.
Every day I have to work from sunrise to sunset. I have to work hard as a brick layer building houses and other buildings and I get very tired. I have nothing comfortable to rest on. I have to sleep on hard wood and it hurts my back.
I never get enough food and water.
The weather is cold in winter and in summer it is very hot
